Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience.
- Train and hold team members accountable for delivering on Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
- Observe and provide feedback, recognizing great guest experiences and addressing opportunities for improvement.
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics; take action to improve results and celebrate wins.
- Lead a service culture that prioritizes guest experience, modeling and coaching expectations.
- Drive fulfillment goals, understanding how your team contributes to total store profitability.
- Utilize workload planning tools to ensure scheduled workload completion and order fulfillment.
- Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop resolution plans.
- Create daily plans for your team with direction from your direct leader.
- Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship-from-store workload.
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions; support onboarding and team development.
- Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness; hold team members accountable.
- Ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh items for guests.
- Order and stock supplies in partnership with your direct leader.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities.
- Demonstrate and promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Model and enforce physical security processes to enhance in-store safety.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive Up (DU).
- Maintain a compliance culture, including adherence to federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong workload management and task prioritization skills.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
- Handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
- Operate handheld scanners, frequency devices, and other technology equipment as directed.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
Schedule
This is a full-time role, but it does not come with a guarantee of 40 hours each week. Hours will depend on the needs of the business and may fluctuate as required.
Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. The full pay range is $22.00 - $37.40 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
