Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. The full pay range is $22.00 - $37.40 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader, you’ll enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring they get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. This role focuses on operations, process, and efficiency in picking, prepping, packing, sorting, and shipping products safely and effectively.

- Retail business fundamentals, such as sales trends, inventory management, and pricing strategies
- Planning daily and weekly workloads to support business priorities and sales goals

Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience.
- Ensure every team member is trained and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments.
- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experiences.
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve performance, and celebrate wins.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes guest experience and model, train, and coach expectations.
- Lead your team to drive fulfillment goals and support sales growth, contributing to total store profitability.
- Utilize workload planning tools to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed and orders are fulfilled to meet delivery, freshness, and service standards.
- Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop action plans to resolve them.
- Create daily plans for your team with direction from your leader.
- Be an expert in operations, accuracy, process, and efficiency to enable efficient delivery to guests.
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
- Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness, and hold team members accountable.
- Close training gaps through coaching conversations.
- Ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh food items for guests.
- Order and stock supplies in a timely manner.
- Follow all safe and secure training processes, including key carrier responsibilities.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
- Lead and model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive Up (DU) while maintaining compliance.
- Perform all other duties as needed based on business requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong workload management and task prioritization skills.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Ability to handle cash register operations as needed.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders.
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and reliable, prompt attendance.
Schedule
This is a full-time role, but it does not guarantee 40 hours each week. Hours will depend on the needs of the business and may fluctuate as required. You must be open to working a variable schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times.
