Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly experience.
  • Train and hold team members accountable for delivering on Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve execution, and celebrate wins.
  • Lead your team to drive fulfillment goals, support sales growth, and contribute to total store profitability.
  • Utilize workload planning tools to ensure scheduled workload completion and order fulfillment that meets delivery, freshness, and service standards.
  • Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop resolution plans.
  • Create daily plans for your team with direction from your direct leader.
  • Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship-from-store workload.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions; support onboarding and team development.
  • Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness; hold team members accountable through coaching.
  • Ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh food items for guests.
  • Order and stock supplies in partnership with your direct leader.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience.
  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; hold team members accountable.
  • Model and enforce physical security processes to enhance in-store security.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application of best practices.
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive Up (DU) while maintaining compliance.
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong workload management and task prioritization skills.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
  • Handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.

Schedule

This is a full-time role, but it does not guarantee 40 hours each week. Hours will depend on the needs of the business and may fluctuate as required. You should be open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times.

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.50 per hour. The full pay range is $22.50 - $38.25 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
