Fulfillment Expert

About the role

Target’s fulfillment team ensures guests receive what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. As a Fulfillment Expert you will work in a dynamic environment where daily tasks shift based on guest ordering patterns. You will gain experience assessing business needs, using tools to meet digital demand, and applying retail fundamentals such as sales trends, inventory management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Know the tools, products, and services in the store and your area to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Greet guests while completing daily tasks and thank them for choosing Target.
• Assist guests by providing a welcoming, helpful interaction.
• Select items for order pickup, drive‑up, and ship‑to‑home digital orders.
• Accurately place order pickup and drive‑up orders on hold.
• Prepare, pack, and sort guest orders for shipment using correct materials.
• Maintain quality and accuracy while meeting timeliness goals.
• Keep your workspace, equipment, and supplies organized and stocked.
• Use equipment safely and follow all safety best practices.
• Follow safety guidelines, operating procedures, product freshness, quality standards, and food‑safety rules when handling food items.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Report hazards and correct them when possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and drive‑up (DU) while complying with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Perform any other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
• Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 lb unassisted and team‑lifting items 45–100 lb.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions (e.g., drive‑up, carry‑out areas).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance is required.
