Fulfillment Center Operations Manager

About the role
The Operations Manager supports QVC and HSN, and is responsible for inbound or outbound operations. You will maintain benchmark levels of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement within the building and throughout the supply chain, as well as the hiring and development of management and hourly teams. You will report to a Senior Operations Manager and support the Outbound team on day shift, Wednesday - Saturday.
Where you'll work
This role is onsite at our Ontario, CA fulfillment center. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities
- Build the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics, and processes
- Lead a team of Area Managers and hourly associates
- Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly completing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracy
- Guide strategic planning and forecasting
- Develop teammates for career progression and learning
- Improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse
- Use the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to improve perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectiveness
- Champion a customer-focused mentality across the team, ensuring operational decisions and process improvements consistently support a high-quality customer experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel experience
- Experience developing and managing 50+ employees
- At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order Fulfillment
- Experience using Kaizens or process improvement
