About the role
The Fuel/Wash Teammate plays a crucial role in the Transportation Department, handling various entry-level duties to support smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Fuel tractors and trailer refrigeration unit tanks.
- Wash tractor trailers as well as washing down Transportation Department facilities when required.
- Work with Yard Drivers and transportation shop to ensure that tractor trailers are properly cleaned and fueled and mechanically sound.
- Make note of any maintenance issues and forward information to the shop Mechanics.
- Ensure that the fuel islands are maintained in a clean and safe manner, including proper warning signage as needed.
- Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- A High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to drive a semi tractor (will drive on McLane property only) and have knowledge/understanding of air brake operations.
- The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
- The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

What You’ll Do
