Position Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair fuel dispensing equipment (such as: Fuel dispenser, ATG, STP, and other fueling system related equipment)
- Troubleshoot and repair of electronic components and POS systems
- Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and repair as needed
- Independently travel to reach store locations, including drives of 4 hours or more per day
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation which could include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Support Yesway retail systems infrastructure including point of sale, back office, credit, fuel network
- Resolve basic to complex retail site systems issues spanning multiple hardware and software environments in an expedient manner
- Lead in projects related to hardware and software releases and rollouts, including store migrations
- Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved
- Perform work in a manner to minimize impact on stores and users resulting from maintenance or project-related activities
- Diagnose and make repairs to the overall circuitry of fuel dispenser such as circuit boards, card readers, and keypads
Qualifications
- High School diploma plus 3-5 years of related experience
- POS certification, or willingness to obtain in a timeframe determined by Management – examples include VASC, Wayne, Passport, Gilbarco, Tidel
- Experience pulling low volt cabling, terminating CAT3, CAT5, Coax, CCTV and alarm cabling, mounting faceplates, Punch-downs, labeling, closet or rack builds, patch panels and handling other equipment as needed is required
- Experience using multi-meters and toners to test low volt cabling continuity, connectivity, voltage presences and voltage at the outlet
- Ability to read network documents and diagrams, user manuals, and attention to detail of the assigned scope of work
- Proven knowledge of Windows operating systems, PCs, printers, networking hardware and protocols, and other hardware, such as hard drives, video cards, cabling, routers, and hubs
- Experience using productivity software (MS Office and remote support tools)
- Proven ability to lead and train 3rd-party contractors
- High level of personal accountability with the proven ability to manage time workload effectively and work well in a team environment
