Fuel Distribution Systems Operator Malmstrom

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, transfers, and issues petroleum
• Prepares and checks receiving documents
• Connects lines, grounding wires, and loading and offloading arms or hoses
• Visually inspects each system prior to the first use of each day
• Ensures systems not being used are inspected at least once every seven days
• Gauges tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels
• Checks pumping systems for correct operating pressure or unusual noises
• Performs operator inspections on fuel and distribution systems
• Assists in maintenance of loading and offloading area
• Works within a framework of established DLA policies, procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines
