FTA Technician

About the role

At On-Site Health & Safety, our Health & Safety Incident Response Technicians or Field Technicians can explore various skill sets not otherwise available under traditional “EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or LVN” positions. Our Field Technicians can expect to work in a mobile setting while responding in a company-provided vehicle to various worksites, including construction zones, warehouses, refineries, restaurants, and so much more. Technicians can enjoy the privilege of “clocking in and out” from their homes, eliminating the dreaded commute to and from traditional offices/work hubs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to various worksites to help companies comply with health and safety requirements
• Provide incident reports and first aid after accidents
• Perform pulmonary function testing
• Drug screening
• Hearing tests
• Draw blood when certified/licensed

Requirements

• CA EMT REQUIRED
• 1 year of experience
• Education or Experience in any of the following: EMT, AEMT, Paramedic
• Current National Registry EMT a plus
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be insurable by our motor vehicle insurance policy
• Must have at least a 3-5 year driving history
• Must have no severe driving record “hits” including but not limited to aggressive driving, DUIs, excessive moving violations (speeding, running red lights, etc.)

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance with job-specific drug testing/screening policy requirements

Skills

• Ability to articulate instructions clearly
• Comfortable with public speaking/addresses
• Willing and able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods and long distances
• Standing, walking, sitting, and climbing stairs for extended periods
• Willing and able to respond to calls for service promptly
