FT/Maintenance Technician (Leatherman Behavioral Healthcare Pavilion)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician/FT position is needed at MUSC's Leatherman Behavioral Health Pavilion. The facility will serve as a regional behavioral health center offering a range of services including triage, crisis stabilization, telehealth, outpatient, and inpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems within the facility.
• Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of patient care equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the facility operational.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in hospital maintenance and patient care equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of hospital maintenance procedures and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
