FT Hairstylist/Barber

About the role

Full or Part-time hair stylist position in a high volume salon with flexible hours and an established customer base. We are the largest Great Clips franchisee in the country. Our focus is on maintaining the highest effective wage in the market, calculated as base wage + productivity + product commissions + tips. Last week, the average effective wage among our staff was $31.26/hr. Earnings vary based on proficiency, but no stylist in our company earns less than $20/hr in total.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on stylistic options for their hair
• Listen to clients' needs to determine their preferences
• Describe different hair care products and their benefits
• Shampoo, cut, and style hair

Requirements

• Valid barber or cosmetology license
• Proficiency with hot irons, curlers, and blow-dryers is helpful
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Creative mindset and a good eye for design

Compensation

Base pay + product commissions + productivity + tips.

$300 signing bonus.

Training

Ongoing training available, including both virtual and hands-on sessions.
