FT Hairstylist/ Barber

About the role

Full or part-time hair stylist position in a high-volume salon with flexible hours and an established customer base. We are the largest Great Clips franchisee in the country and strive to offer the highest "effective wage" in the market (base wage + productivity + product commissions + tips). Last week, the average effective wage of our staff was $31.26/hr, with no one earning less than $20/hr in total. Select salons offer a $300 signing bonus.

Ongoing training is provided, including both virtual and hands-on sessions.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on stylistic options for their hair.
• Listen to clients' needs to determine their preferences.
• Describe different hair care products and their benefits.
• Shampoo, cut, and style hair.

Requirements

• Must have a valid barber or cosmetology license.
• Proficiency with hot irons, curlers, and blow-dryers is helpful.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Creative mindset and a good eye for design.

Pay

Compensation includes base pay, product commissions, productivity bonuses, and tips. The average effective wage is $31.26/hr, with no staff member earning less than $20/hr in total.
