Fry Cook - Noodle Bar - Steady Extra (Harrah's LV)

About the role

We’re looking for a fry cook to prepare and cook a variety of menu items per recipe standards in a fast-paced, high-volume casino restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares broiled, fried, baked, and grilled food items in accordance with kitchen needs.
• Operates grill, fryer, broiler, oven, and French top as required.
• Performs preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
• Ensures ingredient supply levels are accurate and maintains the required par of food items at assigned stations.
• Moves items from shelves to carts and transports them to assigned stations for restocking.
• Maintains a sanitary and organized work area, ensuring all assigned areas are clean and free of debris.
• Understands and adheres to proper safety and health codes and regulations.
• Demonstrates proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
• Stores and handles all perishables correctly to maintain quality, security, value, and integrity.
• Prepares food products according to standard recipes and specifications and responds positively to training by chefs.
• Communicates effectively with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
• Assists with any other job-related duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written, in a professional manner.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a cook.
• Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods.
• Neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Ability to handle a loud, fast-paced environment with multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Front-line buffet cooks will have direct public contact.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Must handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner.
• Ability to push carts up to 70 lbs, lift full pots up to 100 lbs, perform repetitive stirring, and work in extreme hot and cold conditions.
• Ability to bend at the waist.
