As a Frozen Food & Dairy Clerk, you’ll highlight the best of our frozen and dairy offerings by stocking milk, yogurt, frozen vegetables, pizza, ice cream, and assisting guests in finding what they need.

This is a part-time position with a schedule primarily including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Helpful Guest Service: Deliver excellent customer service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Assist with Product Requests: Help guests find specific frozen or dairy items and take special orders when needed.
• Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the sales floor neat, tidy, and free of spills. Regularly stock and maintain product levels according to company standards.
• Efficient Inventory Management: Follow the first in, first out method to rotate stock, ensuring all products are properly stocked and displayed.
• Ensure Product Availability: Fill items on display and check inventory levels to meet department goals.
• Support Department Standards: Maintain the quality of the Frozen/Dairy department by meeting expectations for product availability, quality, and cleanliness.
• Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
• Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Effective Communication Skills: Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with guests, leaders, and retail sales associate team members.
• Safety Awareness: Full understanding of safety protocols and company policies, including recognizing and addressing potential safety hazards.
• Equipment Knowledge: Ability to learn and use equipment such as proper lifting techniques, trash compactors, balers, and power equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stand in place for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper body motion.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
