Frontend JavaScript Developer

About the role

We're looking for experienced Frontend JavaScript Developers to evaluate, critique, and improve AI-generated code — helping ensure the next generation of AI coding tools meets the standards real engineers actually care about. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and work as much or as little as fits your life — anywhere from 10 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code for correctness, efficiency, and adherence to ES6+ standards
• Identify bugs, anti-patterns, and suboptimal logic in AI-generated frontend code and provide optimized alternatives
• Solve complex UI/UX challenges to test how well AI handles responsive and interactive elements
• Assess DOM manipulation efficiency and real-world usability of AI-produced scripts
• Write clear, human-readable documentation explaining state flow, event handling, and code logic
• Complete task-based assignments independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

• Strong command of core JavaScript — async/await, closures, DOM manipulation, and the modern ES6+ ecosystem
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with frameworks like React, Vue, or Node.js
• Sharp eye for code quality — you know what good looks like and can articulate why something falls short
• Clear and concise written communicator who can explain technical concepts to a range of audiences
• Self-motivated and consistent when working independently
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, but not required if your experience speaks for itself

Nice to Have

• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training or evaluation projects
• Background in code review, technical writing, or developer education
• Familiarity with frontend performance profiling and optimization tools
• Exposure to testing frameworks or software quality assurance workflows
