Front Office Representative

About the role

Southwest Behavioral and Health Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Front Office Rep to join our dynamic Payson team. The ideal candidate will enjoy coordinating with people, be organized, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, updates, and maintains all client databases and schedules consumer appointments.
• Congratulations and confirms/updates consumer contact information.
• Verifies consumer eligibility/enrollment prior to appointment: AHCCCS, RBHA/agency, Limited Income Subsidy, Medicare Part D.
• Schedules medication, counseling, and intake appointments.
• Completes intake referrals and screenings.
• Answers all incoming phone calls by third ring.
• Processes medication issues and prior authorizations.
• Processes and monitors lab results.
• Confirms/updates consumer contact information.
• Collects client fees/copay.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program highly preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical or behavioral health background preferred.
• Requires prior clerical experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting (Consideration given for course work in lieu of part of the experience requirements).
• Must have fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive upon job offer.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
