Front Office Medical Assistant

About the role

Provide back office medical assistance in a high-volume outpatient clinic focusing on colorectal specialty care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Perform patient care tasks within scope, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records in the electronic health record system.
• Perform insurance verification and related data entry to support accurate billing and smooth patient check-in processes.

Requirements

• Must be located closer to Austin, TX (position based in Pflugerville, TX).
• Contract to Hire position.
• Fully onsite work in Pflugerville, TX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant (mandatory).
• Medical Assistant Certificate (mandatory).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $24.00 per hour; actual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, experience, job knowledge, location, internal equity, and other job‑related factors.
