Front Office Coordinator / Medical Receptionist

About the role

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient appointment schedules
• Manage all incoming phone calls
• Process and convert new referrals
• Collect time of service payments
• Obtain insurance authorizations
• Learn about KPIs and benchmarks that drive clinic success and patient outcomes
• Connect with other front office team members globally and regionally for development and collaboration opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma (bachelor's degree in related field preferred)
• 2+ years experience in a customer-facing position
• Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations
• Experience working or shadowing in a healthcare or fitness facility

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Physical activity including bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting
• Required to work at an IRG facility and be responsible for your own transportation to and from work site
• Potential exposure to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment
• Ability to perform custodial duties using medical grade cleaning products
• Work for extended periods of time at a video display terminal and use a keyboard to enter and gather information
• Work schedule will be based on the needs of IRG

Pay & Benefits Information

• Base salary: $21-$25 per hour depending on experience
