Front of House Supervisor

Openings

We are currently seeking both part-time and full-time positions, with a preference for weekend and closing availability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of retail or restaurant experience
• Extensive food knowledge and a thirst for learning
• Exemplary customer service

Supervisor Duties

• Open the shop in the morning and/or close the shop at night
• Handle customer complaints, returns, requests
• Recognize what needs to be done/stocked in each part of the store
• Compile a list of tasks and delegate
• Understand and enforce store policies
• Be able to react calmly in emergency situations

Compensation

This position is hourly, $20-$21/hour, commensurate with experience.

About the Role

Formaggio Kitchen is a unique gourmet food shop in Cambridge. For more over 40 years, we have hand-selected the finest artisan products from Europe and North America, including small production cheeses, charcuterie, handmade sweets, rare spices, pantry staples, natural wines, craft beers, and freshly baked breads from local bakeries. Our Front of House team of cashiers provides knowledgeable and efficient service to our customers, every day!
