Front-End Engineer, Core Shopping

About the role

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer II to design and build the systems powering Amazon's next-generation Lists and Collaborative Shopping experiences. Our team is re-imagining how hundreds of millions of customers curate, discover, and connect through lists. We're applying generative AI to transform Wish Lists, shared lists, gifting, and collaborative shopping into intelligent, personalized experiences on top of Tier-1 systems serving billions of daily requests across every Amazon surface.

Responsibilities

• Work on services that power Lists and Collaborative Shopping experiences
• Integrate AI-native capabilities into our core framework
• Collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, and designers to ship customer-facing features
• Build systems at massive scale and work with state-of-the-art AI

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React

Qualifications

• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Skills

• End-to-end ownership of customer problems
• Distributed system design and scaling
• Writing production code
• Measuring customer impact

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 annually.
