Front Desk Worker (Phelps House)
The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies supporting services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering impactful, innovative, and intergenerational programs at the Isaacs Center, which operates at community centers in East Harlem and Yorkville.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that meet the needs of children, youth, and families in low-income communities.
- Collaborate with staff and community partners to enhance program effectiveness and impact.
- Engage with participants to understand their needs and preferences, and tailor programs accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of programs through data analysis and feedback from participants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, education, public health).
- At least 2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a community-based setting.
- Experience in program development and implementation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experience in program evaluation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of community-based service delivery models.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Benefits
The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years of experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $20.60
Schedule
Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
