Job Summary

Coach, train, and oversee front desk to ensure the front office operation runs smoothly; warmly and enthusiastically greet arriving and departing guests and assist them with check ins and check outs to ensure they are comfortable and feel welcome while also providing all necessary information to create guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, assist them with check in and check out, and respond promptly with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Oversee Front Desk Agents, and direct them through their day when necessary
  • Assign tasks to Front Desk Agents, oversee and ensure completion of work at the Front Desk
  • Ensure the Front Desk is always running smoothly during shift, act as the Manager on Duty when no other manager is present
  • Absorb and provide training to new and old employees to ensure all are comfortable and understanding of all policies and procedures
  • Assist Front Desk Agents when they need supervision, when an adjustment is necessary, or when dealing with guest complaints
  • Concierge and provide directions, restaurant recommendations, and reservations
  • Work both as a member of a team and individually, assist with deliveries, transportation needs, and luggage assistance
  • Enjoy being very detail oriented while working at a fast pace, utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty
  • Create memorable experiences with a fantastic, welcoming personality that can relate to guests & associates
  • Multi-task with an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home
  • Able to coach and train employees to gain knowledge of all policies and procedures of the front office
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervision experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a high pace- high volume environment
  • Previous experience in an upscale hotel/resort or similar setting
  • Foreign language knowledge is a plus
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • Provide legible communication and directions
  • Knowledge of surrounding area (Snowmass, Aspen, Basalt, Glenwood Springs)
  • Hospitality background preferred; customer service background required
