This individual has a natural ability to brighten a room and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This innate compassion allows them to connect on a deeper level and cultivate unique, personalized experiences for patrons. Their primary goal is to ensure their team feels empowered to make decisions for the guests and have all of the tools needed to problem solve any issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- Courteously and accurately answer guest inquiries and concerns
- Ensure the smooth operations of the front desk area
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to highest guest service standards
- Train team members and respond to any problems in a quick manner
- Fill in, as necessary, at the front desk/overnight
- Ensure that the front desk area is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
- Resolve guest issues and complaints to the best of your ability
- Arrange for transportation for guests as needed
- Work closely with housekeeping, operations and sales
- Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles, policies, and procedures
- Additional duties and assignments, as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a hotel highly preferred
- Professional, personable and courteous personality
- Prior management experience highly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organized and efficient
- Required to stand for long periods of time, able to walk, able to assist guests with baggage, packages, etc. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- May be required to work nights and weekends, as needed
- If covering for Night Audit, must be able to stay awake during evening and overnight hours
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, able to walk and stand as needed
