Front Desk Staff
Description
The Resident Services Package Associate is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing packages while providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and service providers. This position ensures packages are accurately scanned, properly documented, securely stored, and delivered to the correct resident in a timely manner.
Essential Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting residents, guests, vendors, and service providers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Receive, scan, log, and process all incoming and outgoing packages accurately using the property's package management system.
- Verify that all packages are scanned to the correct resident account before delivery.
- Deliver packages promptly and accurately to the appropriate tower and unit.
- Maintain accurate package logs, records, and event documentation.
- Organize and maintain a clean, orderly, and secure package room at all times.
- Monitor package inventory and follow established procedures for oversized, perishable, or special deliveries.
- Respond to and resolve package-related questions, concerns, and service issues promptly, escalating matters when appropriate.
- Communicate package-related updates and concerns with other departments as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify residents' needs by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with resident requests.
- Maintain resident privacy and protect confidential information in accordance with company policies.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
- Participate in cross-training within Resident Services to assist with front desk and other operational functions as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of department procedures and actively seek opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Property Manager or Management Team.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Sometimes lift packages weighing more than 35 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb stairs as necessary.
- Ability to use elevators frequently while making package deliveries throughout the property.
- Ability to operate carts and other equipment used for transporting packages.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Must be able to place and receive telephone calls.
