Front Desk Receptionist - Healthcare

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a highly organized, professional, and enthusiastic receptionist to handle administrative functions in our treatment center. The ideal candidate will multitask effectively, coordinate office activities, collaborate with clinic staff, and manage clerical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform secretarial duties: answering phones, forwarding calls, managing mail flow, data entry, reconciling daily money collected, and office inventory control.
• Assist the Medical Director, Program Physician, or Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes, including scheduling, check-ins, insurance verification, payment collection, and follow-up calls.
• Obtain patient histories from other NTPs, prepare blank patient files for new admissions, archive discharged files, and maintain reports and records.
• Maintain office cleanliness: ensure the children’s play area is cleaned, disinfect and clean the lab area, and maintain the coffee/beverage area.
• If applicable, facilitate specimen collection from patients, deliver specimens to the lab, file results, and distribute them to counselors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of prior experience in an office setting.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation, including telephone etiquette.
• Proficient in basic PC skills; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions, establish effective working relationships with patients, staff, and peers.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain routine records and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
