Front Desk Practice Coordinator - Adult Primary Care - Boston
About the Role
This role focuses on providing administrative and business support to the organization to achieve operational goals, with a strong emphasis on general administration duties. The position works directly with clinical leadership to streamline data collection and dissemination, enhance professional development workflows, and assist with systems thinking to achieve efficiencies in quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Performs a lead role for the Nursing Professional Development Department in operating the Learning Management System, including uploading content, assigning users, and tracking performance.
- Leads the planning and transition of current paper nursing competencies into electronic format via an eLearning Management System.
- Serves as a key organizational resource for patient experience data, collaborating with the Director to disseminate data in support of strategic alignment initiatives.
- Streamlines and improves record-keeping of Nursing contact hour programs relative to the nursing database.
- Assists in coordinating educational materials as necessary.
- Maintains the intranet for shared governance and patient care services, evaluating options to enhance the end-user experience.
- Assists the Magnet Program Director and Coordinator in maintaining a demographic database.
- Organizes shared governance meetings, assists with minutes, and handles dissemination.
- Maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues to support the Hospital’s Standards of Performance.
- Assists with process redesign related to assigned projects.
- Transforms information into formats useful for communicating with leadership and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of related experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, occasional standing or walking, and lifting of 10-15 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity for computer keyboard operation.
- Requires the ability to see computer screens and reports.
- Requires the ability to communicate visually, verbally, and audibly with healthcare personnel.
Skills & Abilities
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Thorough working knowledge and experience using multiple database software products, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn new database software products.
- Experience in report writing.
- Excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet scheduled deadlines.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $20.12 - $25.15 per hour. Individual offers are determined using a comprehensive approach that considers relevant experience, certifications, education, skills, and internal equity.
