Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains proper credit procedures, eliminating bad debt and rebates whenever possible.
- Maintains all equipment and supply inventory.
- Responsible for the Property Management System (PMS), solves technical or operational problems as reported by the users. Assist in the installation of all new applications obtained from the Corporate Office.
- Helps identify and train appropriate shift personnel to solve minor problems with the computer system.
- Communicates with sales and reservations to ensure all guest room rates are correct.
- Works with Reservations Manager to properly sell out whenever possible.
- Ensures that each guest receives prompt and courteous reception and service.
- Communicates with Housekeeping throughout the day for all rooms needed for check-in.
- Schedules department representation for pre-con meetings, as needed.
- Oversees all group room blocks, billing VIPs and special requests.
- Tracks all special corporate accounts for production and value.
- Ensures accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Establishes standards and procedures for work of Front Desk and Guest Service associates.
- Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Oversees the annual Front Desk operations budget to achieve or exceed budget expectations for the department.
- Ensures Purchase Orders are expedited according to proper procedures while adhering to the budget.
- Assists in the supervision of all associates at the Front Desk to include: hiring, firing, corrective action/discipline, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Provide excellent training and a positive work environment for all Front Desk associates in accordance with accepted brand standards.
- Provide first class Guest service in accordance with established guidelines and brand standards.
- Support and live by the team member handbook
- Protect Resort assets.
- Provide a safe and sanitary environment for Employees and Guests.
- Performs other activities as assigned by the General Manager.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Working directly with the Reservations Manager, ensure both departments are cohesive and operate within Coral standards.
