Front Desk Guest Services Agent

Responsibilities

• Check-in guests and ensure proper methods of payment are received.
• Note and fulfill special requests and establish accurate information.
• Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and special needs.
• Thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
• Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of hotel amenities and special events.
• Promote and sell special hotel programs, rate packages, and upgrades when appropriate.
• Interact with the team in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
• Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and hotel policies.
• Maintain the house bank and handle all credit and currency transactions according to hotel policies and procedures.
• Communicate pertinent information to department managers and supervisors.
• Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cash handling, deposits, and refunds.
• Solicit guest feedback via appropriate review sites.
• Answer the telephone professionally and assist guests with reservations, questions, and directions.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in mathematics for basic computations and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and some holidays.
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred.
• Organizational skills, including follow-through, problem-solving, and communication.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Previous hospitality/hotel experience a plus.

Pay

Salary commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and some holidays.
