About the role
Vitalant is seeking a Donor Relations Specialist dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Donor Relations Specialist is vital. You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by greeting donors at local donation centers, providing education on various blood and blood product donation procedures. You will assist with ensuring donor comfort, addressing pre-donation questions, and scheduling their next blood donations.
Responsibilities
- Assist donor services staff by addressing donor questions and monitoring donor wait times.
- Retain current donors by scheduling their next donation appointment.
- Educate donors on additional collection techniques to optimize donation opportunities.
- Administer customer service and marketing surveys to donors.
- Review and enhance frequent donor programs and collection technologies, such as automated, to optimize donation opportunities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of customer service experience required.

- Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to understand, follow, and give precise written and verbal instructions, and perform all activities safely.
- Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Pay
$23.00 to $24.40 / hourly. Salary is commensurate with a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
Schedule
- Monday & Wednesday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday & Thursday: OFF
- Friday & Saturday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Sunday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
