About the role

The Front Desk Coordinator I position at Smile Doctors is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and positive patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and receives customers, determines the nature of their visit, and notifies appropriate team members.
  • Performs various administrative duties, including answering and screening calls, taking messages, checking-in patients, verifying insurance information, notifying clinicians of patient arrivals, making appointments, printing/reprinting appointment reminders, and school/work excuses.
  • Makes changes to the patient schedule as necessary, coordinates payment arrangements or account resolution, receives, stores, and delivers shipments and mail, takes payments, and posts to accounts.
  • Updates charts and patient information, and drives internal marketing initiatives to foster participation from everyone.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers.
