Responsibilities

  • Handles financial information and performs insurance verification.
  • Prepares end of the day reports to keep patients worry-free.
  • Performs clerical tasks like sorting, opening, distributing mail, scanning, and photocopying.
  • Answers phone calls and provides information to callers.
  • Greet visitors/patients and schedules, verifies, and confirms patient appointments.
  • Explains procedures and/or services to patients using dental knowledge.
  • Presents financial policies and arrangements to patients, collects co-payments, and verifies insurance coverage as appropriate.
  • Tracks appointments due to no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
  • 1-5 years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental software, Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn new programs as needed.
