About the role

The Casper Ice Arena is seeking four part-time Customer Service Stars to join their team. This role involves greeting guests, assisting with class registrations, memberships, and passes, operating point-of-sale systems, performing light clerical duties, and supporting the community through friendly interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a smile and assist with class registrations, memberships, and passes
  • Operate point-of-sale systems with confidence
  • Perform light clerical duties to keep things running smoothly
  • Be a key part of a team that brings joy and recreation to the community

Requirements

  • Attend the front desk of a Parks and Recreation facility and provide general information
  • Open and close facilities as assigned and conduct walkthroughs for participant counts as needed
  • Absorb basic receptionist and clerical work including recordkeeping
  • Assist with food service and stock supplies
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cashier station and perform routine cleaning tasks
  • Represent the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner
  • Provide courteous customer service associated with point-of-sale systems, class registrations, memberships, passes, basic clerical duties, and other related work as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Six months experience in a public setting providing customer service preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, preferably 18 years of age or older

Skills

  • Cashiering and mathematical calculations
  • Record keeping
  • Conflict resolution
  • Operation of modern office equipment, software, and operating systems/applications
  • Operating in a courteous, knowledgeable and tactful manner with customers, staff and general public
  • Oral communication sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
