Front Desk Attendant
About the role
This position works independently to provide front desk support (greeting customers, new employees, visitors, issuing access badges, handling mail/parcel shipping and receiving) and miscellaneous facility and administrative support for the project that may be confidential in nature. Provides building support in a government secured building and ensures compliance with all security requirements. You may be required to drive a company vehicle for travel to and from various project facilities, fuel stations, etc. Duties require accuracy, judgment, a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and knowledge of protocol while adhering to company, project and department policies and objectives. This position is located at the Project Management Office in Ogden, UT, and reports to the Office & Administrative Services (O&AS) Facilities Supervisor.
Project overview
Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program. A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century.
Major responsibilities
- Assists in the performance of office services functions such as office moves, facility operations, security and access control, food services management, reproduction, telecommunications, mail and shipping, messenger service, travel, office supplies, furniture and equipment, and miscellaneous services
- Perform tasks such as delivering packages or picking up small purchases
- Oversight and maintenance of vehicle(s) in safe, clean, and serviceable condition
- Maintains facilities, files, drawings and plans
- May act as focal point for outside subcontract services
- Coordinates and sets up onboarding of new staff, meetings, project functions; arranging for facilities, equipment, and catering
- Perform other O&AS duties as assigned
Requirements
- Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a clearance preferred
Required knowledge and skills
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies & procedures to complete assigned tasks
- Must be able to demonstrate basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
