About the role
Landmark Hospitality is a leader in the hospitality industry, owning and operating unique and iconic venues such as the Liberty House, Hudson House, Stone House, the Ryland Inn, Boathouse, Village Hall, Farmhouse and Felina in New Jersey. We also operate iconic, unique venues in Pennsylvania such as Hotel Du Village, the Logan Inn, and Durham Springs. We specialize in upscale restaurants, event spaces, and boutique hotels that are continuously growing and evolving. We are seeking a Front Desk Agent who is passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Register guests and make and modify reservations
- Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel service facilities and hours of operation
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards as required by scheduling
- Comply with property policies, standards, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with standards
- Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages as needed to guests and meeting rooms
- Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, packages, amenities, or other items requested by guests or team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding guest service
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Handle issues or concerns proactively and effectively
- Listen to and clarify the issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Understand and use logic to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information, and deal with abstract variables
- Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
- Have an operational knowledge of hotel products and guest services
Qualifications
- Holds an understanding of hotel products and guest services
- Knowledgeable about and able to assist in emergency procedures
- Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
- Ability to use logic to define the problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information, and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations
