About the role
The Front Desk Attendant role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Checks guests in and out accurately and thoroughly.
- Sells rooms to walk-in guests and reservations using established procedures.
- Answers and transfers phone calls professionally.
- Provides customer service, including message taking and wake-up call setting.
- Follows the "stick to the basics" policy and encourages use of company-operated restaurants.
- Handles cash and credit cards according to proper procedures.
- Completes required paperwork and cash outs.
- Communicates information between shifts through the daily logbook.
- Ensures hotel equipment is maintained and secure.
- Communicates effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Observes the 10-4 rule and provides excellent customer service.
- Participates in safety and security measures.
- Reports incidents and injuries promptly.
- Contributes to hotel operations and participates in training.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Proficient in computerized word processing, comprehension, summarizing, and writing/editing.
- Experience in scheduling guests and activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
- Confidentiality of business matters.
