Job Description
We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Key responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, providing information about rooms, rates and amenities, welcoming guests, responding to client complaints, liaising with housekeeping, upselling additional facilities and services, maintaining updated records, confirming group reservations, and arranging personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Communicate well with guests.
- Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role.
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKey PMS.
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor.
- Customer service attitude.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year previous front desk experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree in hotel management is a plus.
- Well-developed leadership skills.
- Ability to give clear, concise instructions.
- Proactive work style.
- Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situations.
