Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Takes reservations and accurately inputs into the computer system.
- Answers inquiries about room rates, outlets, and room locations.
- Interacts with Group Rooms Coordinator on bookings.
- Activates "manual system" in case of system downtime.
- Keeps up-to-date with knowledge of phone system.
- Handles all guests' special requests professionally.
- Posts advance deposits and maintains accurate records of deposits.
- Completes all necessary projects by assigned deadlines.
- Completes documents as directed and to specifications.
- Performs various other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- Minimum of High School education.
- Six (6) months prior reservations or front office experience required in a full-service hotel or related field.
- Prior experience with Opera PMS is desired.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS.
- Ability to maintain consistency, diplomacy, and tact in difficult or challenging situations.
- Ability to follow detailed record-keeping procedures involving intense administration and attention to detail.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to make quick and efficient decisions to benefit the team and guests.
- Ability to use a moderately complex computer system and troubleshoot software problems.
