Greeting and Communication
Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.
Assistance with Reservations
- Promptly, accurately and efficiently check in and out guests.
- Absorb and act on special requests made by guests.
- Block rooms for reservations as needed.
Cash Handling
- Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests.
- Make change correctly for guests.
Knowledge of Systems and Procedures
- Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system.
- Know how and where to post all charges.
- Take reservations in approximately 2 minutes.
- Have working knowledge of hotel rates, discounts, and how to handle each.
- Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations.
- Know and follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
