Greeting and Communication

Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.

Assistance with Reservations

  • Promptly, accurately and efficiently check in and out guests.
  • Absorb and act on special requests made by guests.
  • Block rooms for reservations as needed.

Cash Handling

  • Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests.
  • Make change correctly for guests.

Knowledge of Systems and Procedures

  • Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system.
  • Know how and where to post all charges.
  • Take reservations in approximately 2 minutes.
  • Have working knowledge of hotel rates, discounts, and how to handle each.
  • Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations.
  • Know and follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
