Front Desk Agent (Early-September Start Date) - Glacier National Park

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be a proud steward of the park and play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to all our guests.
About the role
Warmly welcome guests, manage check-in and check-out processes, and efficiently handle room assignments and reservations using the Opera Property Management System, all while ensuring exceptional service and adherence to safety and environmental practices.
Responsibilities
- Be the face, smile, and heartbeat of the hotel/motel.
- Greet and welcome all guests like old friends; juggle check-ins, check-outs, and questions with a smile.
- Provide outstanding service during check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assign guest rooms, issue room keys, and process payment methods through Opera (Property Management System).
- Answer phones with charm and handle guest requests, solve problems, and turn challenges into positive experiences.
- Share insider tips on local attractions, food, hikes, and hidden park gems.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and bell staff.
- Keep the lobby area welcoming and assist with anything that enhances the guest experience.
- Remain calm and professional under pressure, even during busy or stressful situations.
- Maintain knowledge of services and events offered at the property.
- Create, modify, or cancel hotel reservations.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a “Yes, absolutely!” attitude.
- Strong and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
- Tech-savvy enough to use front desk software and troubleshoot guest room key issues.
- Reliability and professionalism—punctual, organized, and ready to work.
- Passion for people and love of hospitality.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes with good decision-making skills.
- Strong computer skills to operate Opera Property Management Software (PMS).
- Basic math skills.
- Outstanding organization and time management skills; goal-oriented and comfortable working under pressure.
- Flexibility with varying work schedules between day and evening shifts; may be required to work night shifts based on business and staffing needs.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Bending, stretching, and reaching throughout a shift.
- Working safely with required chemicals.
Pay
$14.65/hr
Schedule
Seasonal position starting in early-September and ending late-September 2026. Typical schedule is 40-45 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays).
