Responsibilities
- Responds professionally to guests, providing accurate and timely information and services.
- Handles telephone and in-person inquiries about reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
- Completes check-in procedures manually and through computers to ensure guest satisfaction and room availability.
- Facilitates check-out processes, closing accounts and opening rooms for new guests.
- Calculates and posts guest accounts, ensuring timely and precise charges and maintaining accurate records.
- Sells room nights and increases occupancy and revenue through effective communication and suggestive selling techniques.
- Answers inquiries and accepts reservations, both in person and by phone, providing accurate hotel rates and information.
- Keeps informed about in-house and area events to respond promptly and knowledgeably to guest questions and concerns.
- Controls cash transactions and maintains personal bank accounts according to hotel policies.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Must have high school graduate-level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Experience in direct public interaction and basic customer service skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Ability to handle stress and emotional situations with tact and understanding.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
