About the role
The Front Desk Agent is a unique position in which the host will be responsible for Front Desk, Bell Services, and Concierge services. They will be the first impression, providing a unique check-in experience. The host will serve as the first physical impression of the property and be responsible for providing a unique, professional, and hospitable arrival and departure experience.
Overview of the role
- Starting pay rate is $16.00 per hour
- Carry out the check-in process for hotel guests; assign and escort guests to rooms according to preferences.
- Interact with guests in a professional manner while sharing hotel knowledge.
- Aid guests with luggage needs.
- Produce room keys for all guests, ensuring guest confidentiality.
- Respond to guest inquiries, make travel arrangements and reservations.
- Provide local information for shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations.
- Verify charges and collect payment from guests for room stays.
- Assist in coordination between Housekeeping and Front Desk.
- Report any suspicious activity, unusual items, or irregular behavior to the manager.
What you have
- A high school diploma, equivalent, or higher
- Previous hospitality experience
- Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, and iPads
- Proven experience working in a clean, organized, and efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
- Experience in handling confidential information
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to coordinate with a team
- A sense of ownership in everything that you do
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
