Front Desk Agent

About the Role

Seasonal Intern position that will rotate throughout different positions of the hotel for 10 weeks starting June 1st, 2026.

Responsibilities

Front Desk Agent

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing warm, professional service throughout their stay.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Handle reservations and address guest inquiries or concerns.
  • Provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Report to the Front Office Manager or Front Office Supervisor.

Valet Parking

  • Drive, park, and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles courteously, safely, and efficiently according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, arrivals/departures, and house count.
  • Understand features and services provided by the hotel, hours of operation for each outlet, and parking facilities (layout, hours, prices, and procedures).

Front Desk Clerk

  • Transmit and receive telephone messages.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and local attractions.
  • Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Make and confirm reservations, including restaurant, transportation, or entertainment, and arrange tours.
  • Post charges (e.g., room, food, liquor, telephone) to ledger.
  • Deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
  • Fill in for Reservationist or PBX Operator as needed.
  • Use suggestive selling skills and company sales programs to maximize revenue and occupancy levels.
  • Document customer requests and follow necessary reporting procedures.
  • Handle accounting of money, receipts, guest accounts, and credit through the front desk computer system.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • A warm, professional demeanor that reflects the company’s Culture of Excellence.
  • For Valet Parking role: Valid Texas driver’s license, at least 25 years of age (for auto insurance), and an excellent driving record.

Qualifications

  • Hotel experience is a plus.
  • A combination of education and experience.
