Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service at all times
- Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special needs
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities and any special events
- Promote and sell special hotel programs, special rate packages, and upgrades when appropriate
- Maintain house bank and handle all checks and cash according to Resort policies and procedures
- Solicit guest feedback via guest comment cards and service callbacks
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and company policies
- Take reservations and accurately input into the computer system
- Answer inquiries of room rates, outlets, and room locations
- Interact with Hotel Sales Manager on bookings
- Keep up to date with knowledge of phone system
- Solicit and respond to guests’ special requests in a professional manner
- Complete all necessary projects by the assigned times
- Complete documents as directed and to specifications
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
- Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to obtain TIPS certification
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
