Established in 1994, Layne's is THE "born and breaded in Texas" chicken finger restaurant. The Layne's culture stems from our roots in College Station, where back in 1994, we perfected our chicken finger frying technique. True to our roots, we are a fun, fast-paced dynamic team who do not take ourselves seriously, but we take our food and our service EXTREMELY seriously. We are looking for GREAT PEOPLE who are hard-working individuals to join us on what will be an incredibly fun, fast, and rewarding experience.
About the Role
As a Front Counter/Drive Thru Cashier (Chicken Ordering Officer), your main responsibility will be to take care of our guests by greeting them and taking their orders. Each guest needs to feel as though they are attending a party that we are hosting for them. You will ensure they receive their food in a timely manner, have the necessary condiments, beverages, and anything else they need to make their visit to Layne's a special one.
You will also be responsible for cleaning and keeping our brand-new restaurant immaculate, ensuring our guests can relax and eat in a clean and tidy environment. A huge part of who we are is our fun-loving culture, and you will be part of ensuring everyone has fun while we serve our "soon to be famous"™ chicken fingers.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and take orders at the front counter and drive-thru
- Ensure guests receive their food promptly and have all necessary items (condiments, beverages, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and tidy restaurant environment
- Uphold Layne's fun-loving culture while delivering excellent service
Requirements
- Preferably have experience in a fast-food concept
- Ability to communicate effectively
- At least 16 years of age
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to lift and carry 10-55 lbs
