About the Role

Join the Festival Foods team as a Fresh Cut Lead! You’ll guide a team of fresh cut produce associates to ensure the highest standards in fresh, ready-to-enjoy fruits and vegetables. Oversee inventory, maintain department standards, and create a seamless shopping experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
• Lead, coach, and train fresh cut produce associates to ensure high performance and exceptional service.
• Monitor stock levels, track shrink, and ensure accurate pricing.
• Oversee department standards for quality, food safety, and cleanliness.
• Engage with guests by assisting with product selection, taking special orders, and resolving concerns.
• Collaborate with store leadership and vendors to keep the Fresh Cut department running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workspace to support productivity.
• Ensure regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
• Experience in stocking, retail sales associate, or produce associate roles.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Understanding of on-the-job safety, food safety, and sanitation best practices.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The associate must possess the ability to:

• Stand in place for long periods of time.
• Work in a cooler, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Perform full range of upper body motion to lift product.
• Perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Use functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment.
• Lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
