About the Role

As a Fresh Cut Lead, you'll guide a team of fresh cut produce associates to ensure the highest standards in fresh, ready-to-enjoy fruits and vegetables. You'll oversee inventory, maintain department standards, and create a seamless shopping experience for guests.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional guest service, including friendly greetings, answering questions, addressing guest concerns, and helping guests with what they need
• Support, coach, and train fresh cut produce associates to ensure high performance and exceptional service
• Monitor stock levels, track shrink, and ensure accurate pricing
• Oversee department standards for quality, food safety, and cleanliness
• Engage with guests by assisting with product selection, taking special orders, and resolving concerns
• Collaborate with store leadership and vendors to keep the Fresh Cut department running smoothly
• Maintain a clean and efficient workspace to support productivity
• Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
• Support the team with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
• Experience in stocking, retail sales associate, or produce associate roles
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
• Understanding of on-the-job safety, food safety and sanitation best practices

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a cooler and walk in the store
• Bend, stoop and kneel regularly
• Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
• Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis

Schedule

The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
