About the role
Summary CAZA is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable volunteer French Translator to support our communications efforts. This role will help ensure our materials are accessible to both English and French-speaking audiences across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate English content into French (Canadian French preferred)
- Review and edit translated materials for accuracy, tone, and consistency
- Aid with translating a variety of materials, including:
- Website content
- Newsletters and email communications
- Social media posts
- Reports and promotional materials
- Affirm translations reflect CAZA’s professional voice and brand
Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and French (written)
- Strong understanding of Canadian French nuances and terminology
- Experience in translation, communications, or a related field is an asset
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in conservation, wildlife, or non-profit work is an asset
Time Commitment
Flexible and project-based; estimated 2–5 hours per week depending on needs

Volunteer Requirements
- Over “age of majority” in province of opportunity
- Minimum 16 years old
- Own laptop with internet access and camera
- Fluent in French
