Freight Specialist (Contract)
About the role
Be the main handler of freight invoicing and payment processes. Responsible for supporting the reporting freight cost variances for logistics across product lines to both internal and external customers within the supply chain. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 6 months.

What You'll Do
As a Freight Processor, you will be the main handler of freight invoicing and payment processes. You will be responsible for supporting the reporting freight cost variances for logistics across product lines to both internal and external customers within the supply chain.
- Escalate invoicing disputes to the relevant channels.
- Identify and document all accessorials charges, including demurrage, maintenance, rate disputes, and out-of-route miles.
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, a logistics activity.
- Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
- Review proposals, develop performance specifications, and serve as liaison between customer and organization.
- Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
- Redesign the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- 1 year of SAP experience.
