Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
- Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
- Manage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable

- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
- Other Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail and accuracy, Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
- Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations
- Understanding of trade laws and regulations
Language Skills
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
Pay
Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable federal, state or local law. The expected base pay range is $24.60 - $30.75 per hour.
