Freight Forwarder, Ocean Import
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
- Manage the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
- Cook up relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws

- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
- Other Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail and accuracy, Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
- Function / Market & Industry Knowledge: Understanding of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations, Understanding of trade laws and regulations
- Business Acumen / Processes: Knowledge of trade laws and regulations
Education & Experience
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in ocean import and export is highly desirable

Pay & Benefits
The expected base pay range is $20.50 - $24.75 hourly. Annual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
